Weights and Measures
The Clark County Weights & Measures Department is responsible for the oversight of commercial transactions involving the weighing of commodities and the accurate weights and proper weighing practices on behalf of the buyer and the seller. The buyer has a right to equity and the seller has a right to fair value. Businesses who produce, transport or purchase products and materials depend on accurate measurements of the weights of those products. The Weights and Measures Department performs unannounced inspections to verify accuracy and fairness throughout Clark County.

Prosecutor's Office
The Office of the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney is charged with the responsibility of representing the State of Indiana in all felony and misdemeanor criminal prosecutions, resulting from crimes committed within Clark County, Indiana. In addition, the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney conducts criminal investigations, convenes and supervises Grand Jury proceedings, enforces child support orders entered in divorce and paternity cases, prosecutes traffic and other infraction violations of state law, conducts juvenile adjudications and prosecutions, and provides information and assistance to the victims of crime.
The Office of the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney is established by the Indiana Constitution at Article VII, § 16, which prescribes a term of four (4) years with no term limitations. The territorial jurisdiction of the Office is the Fourth Judicial Circuit, which includes all of Clark County. The Prosecuting Attorney must be a resident of Clark County, and must be licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana.

The Clark Circuit and Superior Courts each have original jurisdiction to preside over all civil and criminal cases. However, by Local Rule, the cases are assigned as follows:
CIRCUIT COURT NO. 1
Presiding in the Clark Circuit Court No. 1 is:

- Clark County Tax Sale or Conservancy District cases.
- One-sixth of all Adoption cases.

Neglect of a Dependent cases are filed in Clark Circuit Court No. 4.

- All cases which include a charge of Neglect of a Dependent or Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor under Indiana Code 35-46-1-8 or Violation of Compulsory School Attendance under Indiana Code 20-33-2.
- All Juvenile Paternity cases.
- All Juvenile CHINS, Juvenile Status, Juvenile Termination of Parental Rights, and Juvenile Miscellaneous cases.
- Guardianship cases involving children.
- One-sixth of all Adoption cases.

COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE (CASA)
The Clark County, Indiana program operates under the name “CASA - The Voice of Clark County’s Children” and is a court program operating under the auspices of Clark County Circuit Court No. 4. Our mission is to promote and advocate for the best interests of a child involved in a neglect and abuse case in the court system of Clark County, Indiana.

CLARK COUNTY ADULT GUARDIANSHIP PROGRAM
The Adult Guardianship Program acts as guardian over the person only for those who have been ruled incapacitated and there is no one willing, capable, or suitable to so act on their behalf.
