The
primary mission of the Commission is to function as a viable
instrument of Clark County government in order to utilize the
authority and powers provided by Indiana Law. Below is an outline
listing of these provisions:
Powers
and authorities granted to Redevelopment Commission under
Indiana
Code (IC
36-7-14):
A
secondary mission is to help meet the development needs of Clark
County. Focused planning and development efforts in the
unincorporated areas will pay great dividends in the future to
Clark County citizens.
In
order to address the mission noted above, the Commission will need
to continually address the following:

Develop
and promote a shared vision for Clark County.

Acquire
funding to carryout the mission of the Commission.

Develop
core competencies necessary to be an effective organization.

Evaluate
efforts to ensure organizational effectiveness.

Coordinate
efforts with other economic development efforts and
organizations.
